Las Vegas Monorail 60 Million Riders

60 Millionth Rider on the Las Vegas Monorail

We have some exciting news to share with you today! We transported our 60 millionth rider on the Las Vegas Monorail yesterday at the Harrah’s/The Quad/The Linq station. From our projections, we anticipated the huge milestone to happen in the afternoon so we made sure to surprise the 60 millionth rider with a HUGE Las Vegas themed gift basket including a weekend stay, souvenirs and tickets to iconic Las Vegas shows and attractions to be presented by none other than former Mayor, Oscar Goodman and his two Las Vegas show girls!

Steve Riley and his wife Laura, from San Diego, were about to jump on the Monorail when our team surprised them with former mayor Oscar Goodman, his two show girls and a large Las Vegas themed gift basket for being the Monorail’s 60 Millionth Riders.

When asked why they chose the Monorail to navigate the Las Vegas Strip, Steve said, “[The Las Vegas Monorail] is a very convenient and effective way to get around Las Vegas, and we take it every time we are here.” 60 Millionth Las Vegas Monorail Rider

The prize package the lucky passenger received included:

Big THANK YOU to all our generous partners for donating a spectacular gift basket for the lucky 60 millionth rider and his wife! If you haven’t followed them on social media yet, be sure to stop by and say hi!

Congrats again to Steve & Laura for being our 60 millionth (and one) rider and sharing this huge milestone with us! We hope you have a wonderful time in Las Vegas and enjoy the amazing prize package!

Raiding The Rock Vault

Raiding the Rock Vault at Westgate Las Vegas

Raiding the Rock Vault-LV Monorail

We were excited to hear that the Westgate Las Vegas show “Raiding the Rock Vault” was voted Best of Las Vegas 2014 by the Las Vegas Review Journal! This show isn’t your typical tribute show  but like a live concert where the audience is up singing and dancing to the classic rock hits from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s along with the on-stage performers!

Do you miss the energetic rock hair bands of the 80’s? This rock show will throw you right back into the excitement of classic hits. The performers aren’t just talented look-(or sound) a-likes but are some of the best musicians from the classic rock bands that used to rock the stages in the 80’s. The show lives up to the tagline, “Classic rock by those who rocked it!”

There are quite a few tribute shows and bands in Las Vegas, but the classic rock songs you’ll be head banging to in this show are being performed by those who originally rocked the stage. Some of the musicians you may see are from Heart, Asia, Whitesnake, Survivor and The Offspring.

We recommend you check out this show if you love music and are looking for a fast past, high energy and fun show. Grab one of their “Rocktails” for a little liquid courage and join in on the singing, dancing and air guitar performances happening in the audience. The nostalgic rock music and the enthusiastic audience will keep you and your group entertained for the whole show!

ACM Party for a Cause

Academy of Country Music Awards & Party for A Cause Festival

This weekend (April 4-6), Las Vegas will be welcoming loads of country music fans from all over the United States to celebrate the Academy of Country Music Awards. The award show is being held at the MGM Grand on Sunday April 6th but the ACM Party for a Cause Festival is kicking off the weekend with a two-day “Fan-Focused” party featuring live entertainment, food and more.

The Party for a Cause Festival kicks off Friday with three country artists on the “Party Stage” and Rascal Flatts wrapping up the night on the “Main Stage”. The festival continues on Saturday with more than 15 artists including Keith Urban headlining at 10:30pm.

ACM Lineup

The Festival will be the first special event hosted at The Linq, Caesars Entertainment’s new shopping, dining and entertainment district. It’s located on the Las Vegas Strip between our Flamingo/Caesars Palace Station & the Harrah’s/The Quad/The Linq Station. Attendees of the ACM Festival can purchase a special 3-Day Unlimited Ride pass for only $22, normally $28. Purchase the discounted Monorail tickets at the following link:

For more information on the ACM Party for a Cause two-day event, visit the ACM Party for a Cause Festival website.

Tips for Las Vegas Locals:

We may be a little biased, but the best way to travel to the Party for a Cause Festival & the Academy of Country Music Award Show is to ride the Monorail. Traffic on the strip and parking around the newly opened The Linq may be a little hectic. We suggest parking at a nearby hotel and hopping on the Monorail to the Harrah’s/The Quad/The Linq Station. Local single ride tickets are only $1 and can be purchased at any of our Customer Service Ticketing Offices on the Monorail Stations excluding the Las Vegas Convention Center Station

We hope to see you at the ACM Festival for a Cause at The Linq! With all the amazing live country artists, newly opened retail stores and delicious dining options, you’d be crazy to skip it!

Monorail Security

Security & K9 Unit at the Las Vegas Monorail

At the Las Vegas Monorail, we have a great security team that average 15 years security experience among each officer. Many are United States military veterans, some have a police background and we also have two train K9 dogs and handlers roaming the stations daily.  Not only are the K9s adorable, they are trained to monitor the system to detect any threats with our highly qualified security staff. You can rest assured that when riding the Monorail you will be safe thanks to our well lit system, security manned stations and closed-circuit TV cameras in the trains and throughout the stations recording and monitoring at platforms, faregates and escalators.

Get to know our K9 Unit!

Learn more about Monorail Security from Mike & Leiti!

While our security staff’s main duty is to secure our stations, they are also there to help you! Feel free to reach out to them with any questions about the system or just to say “hi” to Leiti or Rony, our German Shepherd K9.
