Inaugural Wizard World Comic Con hits Las Vegas!

 

Wizard World, Inc. (OTCBB: WIZD) is celebrating its first trip to Las Vegas for Wizard World Comic Con Las Vegas, April 24-26 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the seventh event on Wizard World’s calendar of Comic Cons in 2015.. Wizard World Comic Con events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop-fi, pop culture, movies, graphic novels, cosplay, comics, television, sci-fi, toys, video gaming, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more. Show hours are Friday, April 24, 3-8 p.m.; Saturday, April 25, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Sunday, April 26, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Q&A sessions with Robert Englund (The Nightmare on Elm Street), Tom Mison (“Sleepy Hollow”), James Marsters (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”), Michael Rooker (Guardians of the Galaxy), Milo Ventimiglia (“Gilmore Girls,” “Heroes”), a concert by videogame tribute band “Critical Hit,” costume contests, comics creator panels and more are among the programming highlights scheduled throughout the weekend. Programming is free and included as part of the standard event admission, unless otherwise noted.

Artist Alley at Las Vegas Comic Con will feature Salvador Larroca (“Avengers vs. X-Men,” “Captain America”), Neal Adams (“Batman,” “X-Men”), Clay Mann (“Harley Quinn,” “Hulk”), Ethan Van Sciver (“Green Lantern,” “Justice League”), Arthur Suydam (“Marvel Zombies,” “Army of Darkness”), Mike Zeck (“Superman,” “JLA”), Ken Lashley (“Action Comics,” “Black Panther”), Steve Lieber (“Detective Comics,” “Hawkman”) and many others.

In addition, all full-price Wizard World Las Vegas Comic Con attendees (weekend 3-day, VIP and single-day admissions) will receive a limited edition exclusive variant cover, “The Walking Dead” comic, drawn by Lieber. Comics will be issued at registration while supplies last and VIP attendees will receive an additional black & white sketch version.

Las Vegas Comic Con is also the place for cosplay, with fans young and old showing off their best costumes throughout the event. Fans dressed as every imaginable character – and some never before dreamed – will roam the convention floor. The famed Wizard World Las Vegas Comic Con Costume Contest will take place on Saturday, April 25, at 7 p.m. The Kids Costume Contest will be held on Sunday, April 26.
