The Las Vegas Monorail Delivers Target Audiences to Advertisers

At the same time Monorail riders are traveling to their destinations to experience the city’s glitz and glamour with world-class restaurants, shows, stores, clubs, hotels and casinos, the Las Vegas Monorail is providing advertisers the ability to reach these millions of members of their target market in its trains, stations and Monorail Magazine/Where Quick Guide!

The Las Vegas Monorail reaches between a half million and a million visitors a month, depending on visitor volume and city activities. The system is approximately four miles long, has nine trains and seven stations: MGM Grand; Bally’s/Paris Las Vegas; Flamingo/Caesars Palace; Harrah’s Las Vegas/Imperial Palace; Las Vegas Convention Center; Las Vegas Hilton; and the Sahara. The typical Las Vegas Monorail rider is:
  • A Las Vegas visitor (97 percent of riders)
  • Staying on the Strip (65 percent of riders stay in a property located on the east side of the Strip; 31 percent stay in a property on the west side of the Strip)
  • Has disposable income (roughly 60 percent of riders have a household income of at least $50,000 a year; nearly 37% have a household income over $80,000)
  • Educated (at least 50 percent of riders have at least a bachelor’s degree)
  • Slightly younger than the typical Las Vegas visitor (mean age of 44 years old vs 48 years old for the general Las Vegas visitor)
With Morris Visitor Publication as our publishing partner, Clear Channel as our transit advertising partner, and Monster Media as our projection advertising partner, advertisers are certain to reach their target audience in an exciting, meaningful way in a captive environment on the Las Vegas Monorail.

MONSTER MEDIA PROVIDES AN INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE WITH PROJECTION ADVERTISING ON THE LAS VEGAS MONORAIL

Monster Media, the leading provider of interactive projection advertising, has installed ten (10) advertising venues on the Las Vegas Monorail. The Monster Media advertising displays are 8’ x 12’ images that are projected on the floor of the platform level of each Monorail station, with additional advertising displays in front of Monorail ticket vending machines at two of the stations. While waiting for Monorail trains, riders interact with the projections to change the content of the ad, providing an exciting and entertaining experience for everyone. The displays are also equipped with SMS/instant messaging technology, thereby allowing consumers to receive promotional offers or special messages on their mobile phones while interacting with the advertisement.
