Cruise the Strip above the Streets in Air-Conditioned Comfort

While others are sitting in traffic or walking the Strip in the sweltering heat, you’re cruising above it all on the sleek, state-of-the-art Las Vegas Monorail.  Winding its way effortlessly through the city to stations amidst all the best shopping, dining and attractions, the Monorail takes you where you want to go in air-conditioned comfort – even when it’s 120-degrees outside. Below are some tips from LVM for surviving the summer heat in style:

  • It’s hot out there – dress appropriately. Loose-fitting, lightweight clothing, dark sunglasses, a lightweight hat and sunscreen will definitely help you beat the heat.
  • Drink plenty of water and bring some with you. There’s nothing worse than losing your cool while dealing with the summer heat. All Monorail stations have vending machines that sell bottled water and Monster energy drinks to help keep you hydrated.
  • Plan your trip wisely. Try to avoid the high-noon sun by planning trips in the morning and evening. And visit www.lvmonorail.com to plan your trip before you leave the comfort of your home.  If you do have to travel in the middle of the day, choose the climate-controlled Las Vegas Monorail for a cool, comfortable ride.
  • Keep it simple.  Don’t get bogged down by the little things.  Travel light with a single bag or brief case to make your trip easier.
  • Sit back and enjoy the ride.  Give yourself plenty of time to reach your destination, so there’s no need to rush or feel hurried.  With the Monorail, traveling is fast, easy, convenient and enjoyable.

Monorail Riders Feel Safe and Secure

Dedicated leadership, employee commitment and critical investments are key factors allowing us to successfully provide a clean, comfortable and safe environment for Monorail riders. Our recent rider survey reported that of the 400 Monorail riders surveyed, all riders felt safe and secure when using the Monorail. We attribute this to our friendly security officers present at all stations; our K-9 units' ability to detect potentially dangerous items and materials; the installation of closed-circuit TV cameras on all Monorail trains and stations; architecturally designed stations that are well-lit, open-aired and spacious; and the collaborative efforts of the Las Vegas Monorail Company operations’ staff, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Tourist Safety Unit, Department of Homeland Security and the individual resort properties. Rest assured that the safety and security of Monorail riders is a top priority.
