About CES 2017
This year, the Consumer Electronics Show celebrated the show’s 50th anniversary. Las Vegas hosted 170,000 attendees for the city-wide convention. All eyes were on Las Vegas to see what some of the brightest minds in technology had developed. Over the last 50 years, the show has announced world-changing products in the consumer technology market and this year was no exception. Featured products included a Zera Food Recycler, Sleep Number 360 smart bed, LINK AKC Smart Dog Collar and Goodix Live Fingerprint Detection Sensor.
The theme of innovation extended to the Las Vegas Monorail’s inclusion of integrated fare technology for CES riders.
For the first time, the Las Vegas Monorail partnered with technology innovator NXP® Semiconductors to offer CES attendees the ability to load their Monorail tickets directly onto their CES badges.
This brand-new, convenient option was made available to CES attendees who purchased Monorail tickets online using a customized link provided to them by tradeshow management. Throughout the show, attendees also added Monorail tickets to their badge through the NXP AppXplorer mobile application from the Google Play store, and by visiting the NXP tent at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The Las Vegas Monorail is excited to have provided show attendees with a fast, convenient, and innovative solution for getting to and from the show floor. Plus, the Monorail allows attendees to make the most of their time in Las Vegas. Riders can travel the length of the Strip in less than 15 minutes.
