LightFair 2022 in Las Vegas

LightFair 2022 is coming to Las Vegas June 21-23, 2022. LightFair has not been in Las Vegas since 2014 when records were set for most west-coast occupancy and attendance. LightFair 2022 in the new West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center promises to be a success, showcasing new innovations, education experiences, and networking opportunities for convention attendees.

The new West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center is a GBAC STAR™ facility, featuring parking space for over 5,000 cars and an outdoor terrace with a picturesque view of the iconic Las Vegas Strip.

LightFair 2022 in Las Vegas is the must-attend architectural and commercial lighting event of the year, showcasing new technology and products in lighting. Images are helpful when it comes to looking at lighting, but nothing replaces the value of experiencing new lighting products and technology in person. This year’s LightFair in Las Vegas will feature a TEK talk in the Smart Pavilion for networking, The Designery, PERKS in the Exhibitor Pavilion, and more.

Lighting education will be a large part of LightFair 2022 in Las Vegas with a full schedule of conferences and learning opportunities covering The Art of Lighting, technology, evidence-based design, and more. The event will also feature the annual LightFair Innovation Awards, recognizing “the lighting industry’s most innovative products and designs introduced in the past year,” according to the LightFair website. The awards help showcase the products that continue to push the lighting industry forward.

The Las Vegas Convention Center LOOP

The Las Vegas Convention Center has a unique new transportation option for faster across-campus transportation – The Las Vegas Convention Center Loop, also known as the LVCC Loop. This new transportation option connects convention attendees from the existing campus (South, North, Central Halls) to the new West Hall in approximately two minutes, saving nearly 25 minutes of walking time.

The Las Vegas Convention Center Loop consists of two tunnels for one-way traffic built underneath the large 200-acre Las Vegas Convention Center. Each tunnel is approximately ⅘ of a mile in length and is designed for transportation with Tesla EVs. Each Tesla EV can reach speeds up to 35mph in the tunnels while transporting convention attendees.

There are currently three LVCC Loop stations that are easy to locate:

  • Central Station: located below ground near the main entrance to the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. This station is accessible via elevator or escalator.
  • West Station: located above ground adjacent to the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
  • South Station: located above ground adjacent to the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
