You’ve probably made your party plans, picked up your noisemakers and have your champagne on ice…but don’t forget your Monorail tickets!

The Las Vegas Monorail is staying open and running around the clock from 7 a.m. New Year’s Eve  through New Year’s Day to drive you safely into 2016!

Last year, an estimated 340,000 people gathered along the Las Vegas Strip, which is shuts down to traffic from approximately 5:45 p.m. New Year’s Eve night until 4 a.m. on New Year’s Day. With streets closed off, the Monorail is the absolute quickest way to get you from where you are to where you want to go SAFELY on New Year’s Eve.

We didn’t forget about our locals either. As usual, locals can purchase $1 one-way local tickets on New Year’s Eve from any Monorail ticket office, which will stay open until 11 p.m. that night. Locals must present a local ID to receive the discount.

The Monorail has five stations along the Las Vegas Strip: MGM Grand; Horseshoe/Paris Station; Flamingo/Caesars Palace; Harrah’s/The LINQ and SLS Las Vegas. Two more stations are located at the Las Vegas Convention Center and Westgate Resort & Casino.

SLS Las Vegas, the northernmost stop of the Monorail, has free parking during New Year’s Eve. Locals and visitors alike can start their celebration at one of SLS’ many dining or entertainment venues and use the Monorail to travel the busy Las Vegas Strip.
