The Monorail route in Las Vegas is an elevated rail service that avoids the busy congestion of the Vegas Strip. It connects several hotels and the Las Vegas Convention Center for easy access to nearby attractions, casinos, shows, shopping, conferences, and trade shows.  

Where Does the Las Vegas Monorail Go? 

The Las Vegas Monorail runs from the MGM Grand on the South Strip to the SAHARA on the North Strip. Riding the Monorail is a great way to sightsee, with the rail line going right past the Sphere. With an unlimited ride ticket, you can hop on and hop off at any station whenever you want to explore, sightsee, see a show, shop, or dine.  

How Long Is the Monorail Route? 

The Las Vegas Monorail route consists of 3.9 miles of elevated tracks. The tracks run parallel to the Vegas Strip, Koval Ln., and Paradise Rd.  

What Are the Seven Monorail Stations? 

The seven Monorail Stations are: 

• SAHARA Las Vegas Station: Located inside the SAHARA Las Vegas, this station is in close proximity to The STRAT, The STRAT Tower, Magic Mike Live, and LA Comedy Club’s Dragon Room. 
• Westgate Station: Located inside the Westgate Las Vegas Resort, this stop is near Fontainebleau Las Vegas, The Magic of Jen Kramer, LIV Nightclub Las Vegas, and Benihana.  
• Boingo Station at the Las Vegas Convention Center: This Monorail station is near the South and Central Halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center, with easy access to the North and West Halls for people attending conventions, trade shows, and conferences.  
• Harrah’s/The LINQ Station: Located between Harrah’s and The LINQ, this station provides easy access to The LINQ Promenade, the High Roller, Fly LINQ Zipline, Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Caesars Forum, the Trevi Fountain, and The Venetian Expo. 
• Flamingo/Caesars Palace Station: Located inside the Flamingo Las Vegas, this station provides easy access to The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen, The Colosseum Theater, Drai’s Beachclub & Nightclub, and the Shrine of Four-Faced Brahma. 
• Horseshoe/Paris Station: Accessible from inside the Horseshoe, with a connecting walkway from the Paris, this station provides easy access to the Horseshoe Poker Room, Vanderpump a Paris, Arc de Triomphe, the Balloon Sign, the Eiffel Tower, Twilight Zone Mini Golf, and Beer Park.  
• MGM Grand Station: Connected to the MGM Grand, this Monorail station is near M&M’s Las Vegas, The Paradox Museum, the Replica Statue of Liberty, Hershey’s Chocolate World, Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club, and New York-New York.

How Often Do Monorail Trains Arrive? 

Monorail trains arrive continuously every four to eight minutes, depending on the time of day, the number of trains on the track, and current ridership levels. On average, trains arrive about every five to six minutes.  

How Long Does It Take to Travel From One Station to Another? 

The travel time between stations is relatively fast and ranges from one to four minutes from the time the train departs from the station. The entire 3.9-mile route from one end of the Strip to the other takes around 15 minutes of travel time, not including boarding or unboarding.  

Northbound travel times between stations are: 

• MGM Grand Station: Two minutes to Horseshoe/Paris Station. 
• Horseshoe/Paris Station: Two minutes to Flamingo/Caesars Palace Station. 
• Flamingo/Caesars Palace Station: One minute to Harrah’s/The LINQ Station. 
• Harrah’s/The LINQ Station: Four minutes to Boingo Station at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

What Are the Operating Hours for the Las Vegas Monorail? 

The Las Vegas Monorail operates daily beginning at 7 am until these times: 

• Monday: Midnight 
• Tuesday to Thursday: 2 am 
• Friday to Sunday: 3 am

Are Tickets Available in Monorail Stations? 

All Las Vegas Monorail Stations have ticket vending machines. There are also customer service desk locations at all stations, except Boingo Station at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The ticket selections from the vending machines and customer service booths are full-priced tickets.

How Can I Get Downtown to the Fremont Street Experience Riding the Monorail? 

While the Las Vegas Monorail does not go to downtown Las Vegas, you can still use it to get to the Fremont Street Experience. Board any Northbound Monorail train and ride it to the SAHARA Las Vegas Station. Exit the station, cut through the resort to Las Vegas Blvd (the Strip). Turn right and look for the Deuce bus stop just north of the hotel’s main entrance. The Deuce bus operates 24/7, and you can purchase passes online.  

Alternatively, you can also use the free Downtown Loop bus. However, it has limited operating hours, which vary. To catch the Downtown Loop bus, you still cut through the SAHARA and exit the hotel’s main entrance. Turn right, cross E Sahara Ave, and then Las Vegas Blvd. Walk north to The STRAT, enter the resort, and follow the signs for the designated taxi and rideshare pickup zone. Look for the pink signage for the free Downtown Loop bus. Board the bus and ride it to the Fremont Street Experience.
