Where Is the MGM Grand Monorail Station Located?

The MGM Grand Monorail station is located in the MGM Grand. There are two different entrances to the station. The first station entrance is between Nellie’s Southern Kitchen and the Grand Express in the District. The second station entrance is in the MGM Underground, just past Brad Garret’s Comedy Club, and in the same location as the Uber/Lyft rideshare drop-off/pick up zone. 

The MGM Grand Station has a passenger loading area, wheelchair-accessible entrance, and restrooms with two entrances to the station. If you enter from the MGM Underground, you will need to go up the escalator or elevator to reach the station platform.  

How Do You Buy Your Tickets at the MGM Grand Monorail Station?

You have several options for purchasing tickets at the MGM Grand Monorail Station, including:

• Buying tickets from one of the agents at the customer service desks located outside each station entrance.
• Buying tickets from one of the vending machines located outside each station entrance.
• Purchasing tickets online from your smartphone.

Vending machines only offer single-ride tickets, unlimited 24-hour passes, and unlimited three-day passes. You can purchase other passes from one of the customer service desks. However, the only way to get discounted Monorail tickets is to buy your tickets online. 

How Much Are MGM Grand Monorail Station Tickets?

The cost for Monorail tickets purchased at the MGM Grand Monorail station will be full-price paper tickets. However, if you purchase them online, you will receive a discounted rate, which are:

• Single-ride tickets: $5.50
• 24-hour unlimited pass: $13.45
• Two-day unlimited pass: $23.75
• Three-day unlimited pass: $29.95
• Four-day unlimited pass: $37.00
• Five-day unlimited pass: $44.50
• Seven-day unlimited pass: $57.50 (that’s only $8.21 a day!)

Where Will the Las Vegas Monorail Take You?

The Las Vegas Monorail allows you to easily access just about every location on the Las Vegas Strip map, as follows:

• Boingo Station at the Las Vegas Convention Center
• Harrah’s/The LINQ station
• Flamingo/Caesars Palace station
• Horseshoe/Paris station
• MGM Grand station

The SAHARA Las Vegas station is the last stop when heading north on the Monorail, while the MGM Grand station is the last stop when heading south. Unlimited ride tickets allow you to get on and off the Monorail at any station on the route as much as you want.

Can You Use Monorail Tickets at the MGM Grand Station Purchased at a Different Station?

Monorail tickets purchased at another station can be used at the MGM Grand station and are valid at any station along the Las Vegas Monorail route. Single-ride tickets are valid for one ride from one station to another. 

For example, purchase two single-ride tickets at the SAHARA Las Vegas Station. You can use one ticket to ride the Monorail to the MGM Grand station and explore surrounding landmarks, such as the Showcase Mall or New York New York, and the second single-ride ticket for your return trip to the SAHARA Las Vegas station or any other station along the Las Vegas Monorail route. 

What Hours Does the Monorail Run?

The Las Vegas Monorail operates seven days a week during the following hours:

• Monday: 7 a.m. – midnight
• Tuesday – Thursday: 7 a.m. – 2 a.m.
• Friday – Sunday: 7 a.m. – 3 a.m.

How Often Do Monorail Trains Run?

Monorail trains operate continuously throughout the day. Most trains arrive every four to eight minutes, with an average arrival time between five and six minutes. You can verify current arrival times at each station. 

How Long Does It Take To Get From the MGM Grand Station To Other Stations?

Travel time between the MGM Grand station and other Monorail stations depends on which station you are going to:

• Horseshoe/Paris station: Two minutes
• Flamingo/Caesars Palace station: Four minutes
• Harrah’s/The LINQ station: Five minutes
• Boingo Station at the Las Vegas Convention Center: Nine minutes
• Westgate station: 11 minutes
• SAHARA Las Vegas station: 13 minutes 

Please keep in mind the travel times are average times. If you have reservations or a specific time you need to be somewhere on the Vegas Strip, you should allow sufficient travel time to get to your destination.
