What is Cowboy Christmas?
Cowboy Christmas is an annual exhibition event that has been held since 1986. It is the sole official gift show of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, which is the end-of-season championship event for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. The Wrangler National Finals Rodeo also has the distinction of being the world’s primer rodeo event.
Cowboy Christmas is a floor show of 500,000 square feet and over 350+ exhibitors from throughout the United States. One exhibitor, Alcala’s Boots, aims to help lady boot lovers find their “sole-mate” with quality Western boot wear and shoes. Alcala’s Boots also sells distinctive leather tote bags. Another Cowboy Christmas exhibitor is All of Us, a store that specializes in soups and dips.
In addition to assorted exhibitors, other features of Cowboy Christmas include the Ariat Rodeo Live Stage, Bites and Brews, and the Ranch Water Rodeo Saloon, among others. The Ariat Rodeo Live Stage begins with The RMEF Calcutta, followed by “Outside the Barrel,” hosted by the one and only Flint Rasmussen and Cowboy Revival with host Shane Minor. Finally, The Cowboy Channel NFR Tailgate Party will keep you excited for the Wrangler NFR performances.
When you are ready for food or drink while at Cowboy Christmas, Bites and Brews and the Ranch Water Rodeo Saloon can assuage you. Located on the convention center’s second floor, Bites and Brews will have plenty of vendors to curb your hunger as you partake in the live feed from the YETI Junior World Finals. Meanwhile, the Ranch Water Rodeo Saloon will curb your thirst with specialty drinks, collectible souvenir cups, and a replay of the previous night’s Wrangler NFR performances. Ranch Water Rodeo Saloon is also close to the Ariat Rodeo Live Stage, making it an ideal venue to be close to the excitement.
Where Is Cowboy Christmas Held This Year?
This year, Cowboy Christmas will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Las Vegas Convention Center aims to promote the city as the premier tourist destination for business and travel. In 2022, the Convention Center will celebrate 75 years of Vegas history by sharing its Las Vegas News Bureau Collection.
In the past, The Las Vegas Convention Center has hosted several signature events similar to Cowboy Christmas. Since it has the distinction of being the only convention center designated as a World Trade Center, many meetings and trade shows have occurred here.
For instance, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers has held Con Expo-ConAgg, North America’s largest construction trade show for mining and utilities. Another trade event that has happened here is the Consumer Electronics Show, the world’s largest consumer technology show.
When Does Cowboy Christmas Start?
Cowboy Christmas occurs from December 1st to December 10th, on weekdays and weekends. It begins at 9 a.m. each day and ends at 4 p.m. Admission is free to the public, making this an incentive for anyone curious about the world of cowboys and rodeos.
