When an event has been taking place for more than 40 years, you know that it must be something special. The World of Concrete (WOC) began in Houston, Texas, in 1975 and is still going strong. It was held in a number of cities before settling in Las Vegas. In 2022, the event is happening in the stunning new Las Vegas Convention Center expansion.

What is the World of Concrete?
The World of Concrete is a large yearly international experience held for concrete and masonry experts. The event attracts more than 60,000 professionals from all over the world, including experts in practically every area of the construction industry.
In 2022, the event will be held in the newly expanded Las Vegas Convention Center. The expansion is adding 1.4 million square feet to the facility, giving the World of Concrete event access to an additional 600,000 square feet of usable space—which event organizers will put to good use!
If you decide to attend, you’ll have the chance to network with commercial contractors, concrete pumpers, and construction managers, as well as architects, engineers, and masonry contractors.
Please note: Those who are interested in registering must register online prior to WOC 2022, as there will be no onsite registration.
The World of Concrete features exhibits are presented by well-known equipment manufacturers from all over the globe. At the event, you’ll be able to view displays from exclusive U.S. equipment, tool, and product distributors. The event tempts an estimated 1,500 different exhibition companies taking up more than 700,000 square feet of display space, so you know you’ll see unique and cutting-edge tools and equipment.

World of Concrete Events
You’ll also have a chance to check out some building skills in action! Be sure to take some time to enjoy events like the SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500. The competition is one of the convention’s top attractions. As an audience member, you’ll get to watch an incredible battle featuring 28 bricklayer teams and mason tender teams who have just one hour to construct a 26-foot, 8-inch double wythe brick wall.
They are required to follow a strict set of building regulations and are judged by 30 masonry professionals. The winning team returns home with a purse of more than $125,000 in cash and prizes, including a new Ford F-250 4×4 XLT Super Duty truck.
Other event competitions include the MCAA’s Masonry Skills Challenge, the SPEC MIX TOUGHEST TENDER, and MCAA’S Fastest Trowel on the Block.
