The ULTIMATE Family Friendly Guide to Las Vegas

Las Vegas has changed a lot over the years. What was once a playground just for adults, now boasts attractions and activities for the whole family. We put a list together with some of our favorite family-friendly activities, attractions, and locations in Las Vegas.

Our Pick for the most Family-Friendly Locations on the Las Vegas Strip

The LINQ Promenade

First up, is our pick for the most family-friendly destination. The LINQ Promenade offers the most family-friendly options, all in one place. Plus, we love the atmosphere all along The LINQ Promenade. It’s just off the Las Vegas Strip, but with only pedestrians, it’s easier to explore. The fountains, greenery, bright colors, and great retail spaces offer lots of different options for families.

Keep reading for some of our favorite stops along The LINQ Promenade!

High Roller

For the most amazing view of the Las Vegas Strip, make sure you get tickets for the High Roller. The 550-foot high observations wheel gives guests a 360-degree view over Las Vegas. Day and nighttime tickets are available, and students can receive 50% off with their US student ID at the box office.

Fly LINQ

Do you have a thrill-seeker in the family? Don’t miss one of the newest attractions on the Las Vegas Strip. Fly LINQ is the only zipline on the Las Vegas Strip. With two different ways to ride and one incredible view, kids and adults will love this attraction. Riders must weigh between 60lbs – 300lbs and be a minimum height of 40″.

In-n-Out Burger

Hello, burger and fries! Las Vegas is stoked to have In-n-Out Burger on the Las Vegas Strip. Midwest and East Coast families should add a stop at In-n-Out Burger to their Vegas itinerary.

Are you not staying near The LINQ Promenade? No problem, it’s easy to get there on the Las Vegas Monorail. Just hop on at any one of our stations and ride to the Harrah’s & LINQ Station. A quick ride on the Monorail means that The LINQ Promenade is just a few minutes from lots of hotels in Las Vegas.

Family Friendly Attractions and Activities in Vegas

Vegas Indoor Skydiving

No parachute or airplane needed. The whole family can experience indoor skydiving right here in Las Vegas. Vegas Indoor Skydiving creates wind speeds up to 120 mph. This is your chance to defy gravity. Kids must weigh a minimum of 40 lbs to participate. Brush up on their other guidelines before making a plan.

Get there fast by riding the Las Vegas Monorail to the Convention Center Station. From there, it’s just a short walk.

Topgolf Las Vegas

Older kids and parents will love the unique and fun atmosphere of Topgolf Las Vegas. We recommend renting a bay for the family. Relax, play, and enjoy some great food while you’re there.

Topgolf Las Vegas welcomes families to enjoy their one-of-a-kind experience. Be aware that there may be some areas restricted to guests 21 years of age and older. Serious golf-loving families can also enjoy Coach & Game Play Packages for the whole family or Kids Group Classes.

Wednesday nights are always fun with Jeff Civillico at Paris Las Vegas. Civilico’s show combines physical comedy, stunts, and juggling for a great family-friendly time. He has two shows every Wednesday at 4 pm and 7 pm.

Shark Reef Aquarium

Let your kids explore the underwater world at Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay. There are fourteen different exhibits with over 2,000 animals. The aquarium also houses a Touch Pool where guests can get up close and personal with sharks, rays, or horseshoe crabs. The crown jewel of the Shark Reef Aquarium is the 1.3 million gallon shipwreck with more sharks than one could imagine.

Family Friendly Travel in Las Vegas

Las Vegas Monorail

We can’t forget one very important family-friendly option in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Monorail is proud to help families get around the Las Vegas Strip fast and hassle-free. For what may seem like a simple transportation solution to adults, it is an experience all on its own to our younger riders.

Children five and under ride free. Once you’ve purchased your ticket, simply carry little Johnny through the faregate. Strollers are always welcome (we recommend using one of our handicap-friendly faregates)!

All of our Monorail stations have accessible elevator service. Just be sure to place your stroller in the locked position for the duration of the ride! If you need additional assistance, look around for one of our friendly staff members. They will be happy to help or answer any questions you might have!
