Best Outdoor Activities in Las Vegas

Las Vegas for Outdoor Enthusiasts

What are the best ways to enjoy the outdoors in Las Vegas? Las Vegas may be known for the glitter and glam of the Las Vegas Strip, but there are dozens of ways to explore and enjoy the natural beauty of the Mojave desert. We’re sharing a few of our picks for enjoying the outdoors in Las Vegas. From adrenaline-pumping ideas to relaxing, scenic options–we’re highlighting the best of everything outdoors in Las Vegas.

Explore the Grand Canyon From Las Vegas

It’s easy to imagine Las Vegas as a city of lights in the middle of the desert, but Las Vegas is also located near some of the most beautiful natural wonders. The Grand Canyon National Park opened in 1919 and is celebrating its Centennial year in 2019.

The best and most breathtaking way to visit the Grand Canyon is via a helicopter ride. Helicopter tours will set you back a few hundred dollars but seeing the Grand Canyon from the sky is truly priceless. We recommend checking out tours from SundanceMaverick, Papillon, and Grayline Las Vegas. Each offers slightly different packages and options so finding the right one for you will be easy.
