Where Is DEF CON 33 Las Vegas 2025?
DEF CON 33 will be held at the West Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Unlike previous years, where the DEF CON training sessions and workshops were held at the SAHARA Resort, everything will be hosted at the Convention Center.
When Is DEF CON 33 Las Vegas 2025?
DEF CON 33 will begin on August 7 and run through August 10, 2025. Doors are expected to open at 8:00 a.m. daily for each day’s events, training sessions, and workshops.
How Do You Get to DEF CON 33 in Las Vegas?
The easiest and fastest way to get to DEF CON 33, and avoid the busy and congested traffic on the Vegas Strip, is to ride the Las Vegas Monorail to the Boingo Station at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The Venetian and the SAHARA Resort are partner hotels for the DEF CON Cybersecurity Conference. Both hotels are ideally located near a Monorail Station. If you are staying at The Venetian, you can catch the northbound Monorail at the Harrah’s/The LINQ Station on Kruger Dr, south of the resort.
If you are staying at the SAHARA Resort, you can catch the southbound Monorail at the SAHARA Las Vegas Station. The station is accessible from inside the resort.
Other stations along the 3.9-mile route include:
- Westgate Station: Take the southbound train
- Flamingo/Caesars Palace Station: Take the northbound train
- Horseshoe/Paris Station: Take the northbound train
- MGM Grand Station: Take the northbound train
Trains arrive every four to eight minutes, with travel time between stations averaging between two and four minutes. The Monorail begins operations daily at 7 a.m. and continues running until these times:
- Mondays: Midnight
- Tuesdays – Thursdays: 2 a.m.
- Fridays – Sundays: 3 a.m.
Upon arrival at the Boingo Station at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the West Hall is about a 10-minute walk from the station. Exit the station and walk across the Silver Parking Lot, and cross Paradise Rd and Convention Center Dr. Alternatively, you can exit the station and head into the Central Hall and use the complimentary Vegas Loop transportation at the LVCC Central Underground Station, and take it to the LVCC West Station.
