With thousands of revelers descending upon the Strip on New Year’s Eve, the Las Vegas Monorail will continue to operate even when the Strip closes to vehicles and buses – representing a convenient transportation option for visitors looking to get to the city’s hottest spots safely, quickly and efficiently. On New Year’s Eve, the system will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 a.m. to transport people throughout the night.
Rather than walking, visitors can let the Monorail do the driving for them, traveling the entire distance of the Strip in 15 minutes or less – which means less time traveling and more time celebrating,” said Ingrid Reisman, vice president of corporate communications for the Las Vegas Monorail.
With trains arriving every few minutes, visitors can glide above the Strip from one party to the next and let the Monorail connect them to Las Vegas’ world-class restaurants, clubs, shows, shops, hotels and casinos. Even as the city’s famous firework displays light up the skies, the system will continue to offer reliable, non-stop service until 3 a.m.
