Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer in Las Vegas and one of the city’s most anticipated weekends for pool parties, barbecues, and more. No matter what you’re in the mood for over the holiday weekend, you’ll find it on the Strip and the Downtown area. Here are some of the hottest events happening this Memorial Day 2018.
Military Specials @ LINQ Promenade
The LINQ Promenade and High Roller Las Vegas will offer deals for military members on Memorial Day. Active duty and retired U.S. military members can ride the High Roller observation wheel for free on May 29 as the wheel is illuminated in red, white, and blue.
Several restaurants at the LINQ Promenade will also offer Memorial Day specials for military members, including Virgil’s Real Barbecue, Chayo Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar, and Off The Strip Bistro & Bar, which will offer special dishes including sous-vide baby back ribs.
Wet Republic @ MGM Grand
Ring in the summer in style at the Wet Republic Ultra Pool this year. Wet Republic defines the Las Vegas daylife scene with a 54,000-square-foot venue with daybeds, party cabanas, small dipping pools, and large saltwater pools. This year, Wet Republic will host a massive 5-day Memorial Day event with celebrities, thousands of guests, and some of the hottest DJs in Las Vegas. The party starts at 11 am on Thursday, May 24 and continues through Monday, May 28 with performers that include Zedd, Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Martin Garrix, and Justin Mylo.
Patio Parties @ Cabo Wabo Cantina
When you aren’t in the mood for a party or the pool, head to Cabo Wabo Cantina for Memorial Day patio parties all weekend long. Spend time on the hopping Strip-side patio to people watch, relax with friends, and enjoy signature cocktails and drink specials. This year, Cabo Wabo will offer a Memorial Day special cocktail: the All-American with Absolut Citron, Sweet and Sour, simple syrup, Sprite, grenadine, and Blue Curacao. The patio parties will also feature live entertainment with a DJ. You can find Cabo Wabo in the Miracle Miles Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort.
Downtown Rocks @ Fremont Street Experience
The popular Downtown Rocks event returns this year to Downtown Las Vegas. Head to the Fremont Street Experience for free Las Vegas concerts all summer long. The concert series kicks off on Friday, May 25 for Memorial Day with a performance by Candlebox and Cracker. The show starts at 8 pm on the 3rd Street stage between the Four Queens and the D Las Vegas.
Sightseeing Tours with Gray Line Las Vegas
Hop on a London style double-decker bus and enjoy the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown at your own pace. Go on a sightseeing tour at night and check out the bright lights of the strip. Drai’s is one of the top nightclubs in Las Vegas. This indoor/outdoor venue in The Cromwell boutique hotel is a pool party by day and a nightclub by night. For Memorial Day Weekend, Drai’s will host a massive daytime pool party on the Strip’s only rooftop pool deck with shady palm trees and multiple areas to unwind. At night, Trey Songz and 2 Chainz will perform at the rooftop club. The party runs from Friday, May 25 through Sunday, May 27 with the pool party kicking off at 11 am.
Memorial Day Weekend at Downtown Grand

The party continues throughout the weekend and kicks off at Encore Beach Club with Diplo. Take part in Wynn Nightlife’s famous Nightswim event to swim day and night. Other headliners for Memorial Day 2018 at Encore include Kygo, Marshmello, Alesso, Major Lazer, David Guetta, Galantis, and The Chainsmokers.
Hawaiian Luau Beach Party @ Plaza Hotel Casino
